Ken Esene

(Chief Operating Officer)

 

Ken Esene, Chief Operating Officer, has extensive Leadership and Executive Level management experience, both in the private and public sectors. Prior to joining EISG, Ken served as a Regional Administrator  and Chief Operating Officer for a major government agency where he oversaw and directed all of the Department’s activities pertaining to the administration of programs, service delivery, administrative support services and the management of organizational dynamics. He supervised and provided leadership to the Regional Executive Staff and directed all administrative operations pertaining to HR, IT, Financial Services, Legal, Business Services, civil rights, community and legislative relations, social forecasting, policy development, and accountability for regional performance. During his career, ken was recognized and received several commendations for implementing best practice initiatives resulting in improved client service, program accuracy, budget management, inter-organizational collaboration and emergency management response. Prior to his stint in the public sector, Ken served as a Media Planner and Account Executive for major public relations and advertising firms where he was responsible for the Exxon, Coca-Cola, Bank of the Southwest, and Texas Instruments accounts.

 

Ken holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a Master’s degree in Finance. He is a certified mediator and amongst a select few to have successfully completed the Texas Executive Leadership Program administered by the UT- LBJ school of Public Affairs. Ken has chaired and served on several boards and completed a host of leadership and executive level management programs at UT-Austin, Rice University, and the University of Houston.
